As part of our annual ValUNtines Day coverage starting the second week of February, Planet Waves is planning a liberated and liberating tribute to masturbation -- the kind done with love, commitment and a nurturing heart.
Our message to the world will be that all love starts with and is supported by selflove, and that we deserve to love ourselves without shame.
I am inviting readers to send in facial portraits of themselves in states of self-given ecstasy, pleasure or orgasm, preferably with eyes open and looking at the camera. These can be digital camera images (nice and easy) or film photos. They may be untouched images, or if you are into Photoshop, you may take it to another level (probably best to stick with straightforward images). People of any age 18 or older, male or female, and of any gender, are invited to participate. With your photo, when the time comes to send it, please include a one- paragraph description of how you felt at the moment the photo was taken, how you feel looking at it now, or how you feel sharing it with the world.
Photos will be presented anonymously in a well-designed gallery, with the subject's statement next to them.
